Compatibility with standards

This website has been designed and programmed following WAI guidelines (Web Accessibility Initiative, www.w3.org/wai) which establish international standards on the creation of web content accessible to all.

  • w3c valid css
  • w3c xhtml 10
  • w3c wai aa

Accessibility guidelines

Various measures have been taken to make the site more accessible, including:

  • Logical order of presentation of the items on display.
  • Simplified navigation system.
  • Drop down menus are not used.
  • Descriptive text for the images.
  • Keyboard access to the main options.

Keyboard shortcuts

Most browsers support direct access to specific links by pressing certain key combinations (access keys) defined on the website.

Different browsers use different keystrokes to activate shortcuts, as shown below: Internet Explorer: Alt + Access key + Enter - Firefox: Alt + Shift + Access key - Opera: Shift + Esc + Access key

The following access keys are available
  • 0 Accessibility
  • 1 Home Page
  • 3 Site Map
  • 4 Search
  • 8 Legal disclamer
  • 9 Contact

Links

The links whose text does not fully describe the destination have title attributes with an explanation.

Whenever possible, links are written so as to make sense out of context. Some browsers (such as JAWS, Home Page Reader, Lynx and Opera) can extract the list of links from the current page and allow the user to navigate from this list. With this in mind, the links are not duplicated and if they are, they access the same content.

There are no javascript pseudo-links. All links can be followed in any browser, even if JavaScript is disabled.
